Workshop Description:
We know that therapists differ in the way that they practice. We know that “therapist effects” contribute around 10% to client outcomes. But what does this mean? What are “therapist effects”, and what does the research suggest makes the difference between an excellent therapist and an average one? This workshop explores the evidence, situates “therapist effects” within the wider evidence base of the principles of change in effective therapy, and offers practical applications for those wishing to become better therapists.
