Workshop Description:
There is a growing consensus that the proliferation of so many different brand-name therapies is unhelpful to clients and commissioners. Some have gone so far as to call it a professional embarrassment. This workshop will consider a core set of change principles, common to the major theoretical approaches, which provides an evidence-based (and jargon-free) framework for psychological change. Through means of a simple case study, the workshop will present the framework in action, and consider how it can help practitioners, policy makers and the public alike.
